There is an important truth in Christianity that seems to have been ignored or misunderstood by many in the church today. This truth, as this week’s verse states, is that God disciplines His people. This discipline is because He loves us. Because of the deep love He has for us, He wants to give us the opportunity to change our ways and grow closer to Him.
The Bible tells us: “My son, do not regard lightly...

kingdom of His beloved Son” (Col. 1:13; NASB)
Life is full of ups and downs. One day it can seem like everything goes in
your favor. The next day not so much. One challenge of life, should you
accept it, is to keep a good attitude regardless of your circumstances. You
don’t have to accept that challenge, but we all know a good attitude will
help even in the worst situations. The question is, how do you do it?
“God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance,
