30th Anniversary

Open Homes Regeneration Program is a Christian residential facility for adult men who want to overcome addictions and life controlling issues. At Open Homes we believe that the treatment for addictions and life controlling issues is to develop and nurture a loving relationship with Jesus Christ. Many men come to us who do not know Jesus, and there are many who do. For those who have never experienced the love of Jesus, we are here to introduce that man to Jesus. For those who Know Jesus as their Savior, we are here to guide them into what it means for Jesus to be their Lord. We feel that no other remedy has any greater chance of success to lead men into happy, fulfilling, abundant lives, free from the bondage of addiction.

...where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom (2 Cor. 3:17b)

Open Home Regeneration is a 9 month minimum requirement residential program divided into 3 main phases. We provide a drug free environment where men are able to participate in group functions and private one on one sessions to address issues that shape their lives. No two men are exactly alike, nor have the circumstances of their lives been exactly the same. We treat each man as an individual while encouraging them to become part of a greater Body of Christ.

A Brief History

Our Founder, Father Mike Grenier and his wife Brenda were both heroin addicts until 1978. That year their lives changed forever. During an encounter with Jesus, Mike accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Through the help of God’s people, Mike and his family moved to Dunklin Memorial Camp where he worked and was trained in the field of addiction. They then moved to Orlando to work with Christian Prison Ministries, teaching and applying all they had learned at Dunklin. In 1984, the Greniers moved their family into a seven-bedroom house and opened it to men struggling with addiction. There they taught these men how living a life committed to Jesus Christ could free them from their addictions. This one house eventually grew into six homes in Orange and Seminole Counties. In 1994, Open Homes purchased two duplexes, adding two more the following year. Today, over 32 years later, Open Homes occupies over 2.5 acres with housing for over 40 men along with open areas for recreation and family fellowship.

Our Mission Statement

Believing this program to have been established by God, and administered through the leading of the Holy Spirit, we allow for changes to specific character defects as we have reason to believe God desires.  Through our experience with men in Recovery, we have come to understand that while all men who suffer from alcoholism and/or addiction share most behavioral characteristics in the expression of their addictive personalities, they are individuals who are together walking out their own journeys into faith & life.  We therefore treat each man as a distinct personality, each one deserving individual attention. To that end, we monitor & modify each man’s specific completion of the program’s requirements to enable him to lead a fruitful and fulfilling life. We firmly believe that we have been called to reach the least, lost, and lonely men who are in bondage to their addictions, and to provide them with hope for the future by building a foundation in Christ Jesus.
