God Is Faithful
“God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship
with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
(1 Cor. 1:9; NASB)
Life is full of challenges. One day all seems good and the next can be full of things that are not so good. Sometimes, making it through those “not so good” days can be stressful. We also have good, productive weeks that make us feel as though we can conquer the world. But even after several great weeks, all it takes is one bad one to bring it all down. That does not have to be the case. It is our perception of the bad times that brings us down. As Christians we can stop allowing the negative things to steal our joy.
God is faithful. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keeping this truth in mind when things aren’t going your way is the answer to defeating that beat down feeling that comes during the bad times. You were called into fellowship with Jesus Christ by a Father (THE Father) who loves you. Through this call to fellowship you have been granted eternal life with Him.
It is through the bad times that we become closer to God. Our cries for help and mercy are delivered through our Advocate, Jesus Christ. He is with us through the struggles, even when we wrestle with our faith. The battle to have faith during the hard times actually increases our faith. God knows this. He knows that although we may hurt for a little while, we will be stronger for it. When we realize that God is aware of our needs and have faith that He will provide, we can let go of the worry and anxiety the trials bring on.
It is our choice whether to trust God with our trials or to keep them to ourselves. Deciding to trust Him with the outcome of our trials is both comforting and empowering. We can rest in knowing that He is faithful. Jesus asked this question: “And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?” (Matt. 6:27) The answer is an easy one, no one can.
The Lord wants us to bring everything to Him in prayer. It doesn’t matter how big or small the issues are, He is faithful and will be with you through it all.
God bless and have a great week.
